The program continues to grow in its audience and the diverse entertainment it offers each week. Reflecting on its beginnings with Dick Craig, the producer and host of Not Just Rock & Roll, it’s clear why it has been steadily successful since its inception!

In his youth during the late 1950s, Dick pursued music and acting studies. By the 1960s, he was actively performing in rock and roll bands across the tri-state area encompassing New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

While performing with these bands, Dick established himself as one of the most formidable drummers in the region, renowned for both his skill and distinctive performance approach. When he stepped into the spotlight to showcase his vocal talent, his pioneering fashion sense and comedic flair consistently captivated the audience.

In the 1980s, Dick also began to grace the stages of nightclubs as a stand-up comedian. He quickly became sought after as a master of ceremonies and guest host for a variety of events, including concerts, community fundraisers, and women’s professional wrestling matches.

In the summer of 1985, Dick received an offer from his local cable company, inviting him to host his own television show. What followed became quite notable in history.

The weekly half-hour program highlights a unique theme each episode and features a diverse mix of music. It encompasses a broad range of entertainment, including bands, comedians, sports happenings, local festivities, and much more.
