During Dick's time in these bands, he earned a reputation of being one of the area's most powerful drummers, both in technique and in his unique brand of performance. Whenever Dick took center stage to perform lead vocals, his trend-setting style of dress and humor were always a crowd pleaser.
The 80's also found Dick making appearances at nightclubs as a stand-up comic. He has been in demand as an M.C. and guest host for shows ranging from concerts and local benefits to women's pro-wresting matches.
In the summer of 1985, Dick was approached by his local cable company and asked if he would be interested in hosting his own show. The rest is history.
The half-hour weekly show celebrates a different theme and always has an assortment of music on it. It includes a wide variety of entertainment, such as bands, comedians, sporting events, local events: anything and everything.
Two of Dick's passions are Music and
Motor Sports, so it isn't surprising that he created a segment on
his show entitled "Rock & Racing". So if you have a need for speed,
check it out.
Not content to just present events on
his show, Dick has been known to get involved, as well. Some shows
have shown Dick driving in Demolition Derbies, racing micro-stock
cars, and the premiere show featured
Dick wrestling a 600-pound bear!
One thing is certain, either on cable TV or in person, you'll never know what Dick Craig is up to next. After all, it's Not Just Rock & Roll!
